Abstract

Increase environmental problems, such as air pollution and temperatures increase in DKI Jakarta, make the existence of urban forests very important. Trees have an important role becausethey function as the most efficient carbon sink and storage in urban areas. Along with theincreasing number of visitors carrying vehicles, the higher the potential for air pollution in Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR). The objectives of this study are: To analyze the community structure of tree species that have potential carbon stocks, and estimate carbon stocks stored in tree trunks. The study was conducted in four regions (north, west, east, south) Ragunan WildlifePark, DKI Jakarta. Vegetation analysis was carried out by calculating the Important Value Index (INP), and carbon stock analysis was carried out through the Allometric approach. The highest INP value was mahoni (Swietinia macrophylla) amounting to 45.51%, cengal pasir (Hopeaodorata) 33.31%, and dao (Dracontomelon dao) 28.26%. The largest amount of carbon reserves is found in the western region, which is 52,503 kg / ha, and the largest contribution of carbon stocks is from dao trees (Dracontomelon dao) of 30,091 kg / ha, cengal sand 25,372 kg / ha, oilpalm (Elaeis guinensis).

Abstract

Indonesia's demographic data shows that the percentage of young people over 20% or about 60 million Indonesians is at a young age. This potential greatly determines the progress and character of the nation in the future. The swift influence of globalization through the media has a positive and negative impact on the growth and behavior development of the younger generation. One of the negative impacts facilitated by the spread through the media was deviant behavior that occurred in various parts of the world which was later imitated by young people in Indonesia. Drug abuse, sexual behavior outside of marriage and sexual orientation deviation or known as LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender). This study aims to detect the opinions and understanding of adolescents about the importance of healthy reproduction as an effort to prevent early sexual behavior deviations. The study population was middle school students in Bekasi Regency, as many as six sample schools were selected using the random sampling technique. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that 70% of female adolescents in Bekasi maintain their reproductive health behaviors while 57% of men pay attention to their reproductive health behavior. The results of adolescent sexual deviation behavior from this study were as many as 10.9% of teenagers had masturbation, and there were 5.1% of teens wanting same-sex lovers.

Abstract

Discovery learning model encourages learners to find new knowledge and to look for the solution of problems or odd situations. The model provides an opportunity for students to actively participate in building knowledge that they would gain during learning. The research aims to improve student's cognitive learning outcome and activities through discovery learning model in the subject of the Structure and Function of Plant Tissues in SMP Negeri (Public Junior High School) 4 Ternate. The research is a classroom action research in the academic year of 2018/2019. The action research is conducted in two cycles. The research result indicates that the application of discovery learning model could improve the cognitive learning outcome and learning activities among students at class VIII-4 of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Ternate in the subject of the Structure and Function of Plant Tissues.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze the critical thinking ability of XA grade student at SMK BIM Ngawi. This research is include of descriptive qualitative research. The subject of research is XA grade at SMK BIM Ngawi. The technique sampling is purposive samping. The technique that use to fix the data is essay written test that developed by critical thinking ability indicator, based on Facione opinion. Based on data analysis critical thinking ability is gotten average explanation score 72% high category, interpretation 63% high category, analysis 31% low category, self regulation 51% category enough, evaluation 46% category enough and inferation 62% high category. The results or research show that almost the students critical thinking ability category enough. That result give an information to the teacher to train the criical thinking ability so can improve the students critical thinking ability more.

Abstract

Weeds are an important factor in the decline of soybean  production. One of weed control techniques that can be done is to use alelopati as an bioherbicide. One source of allelopathy that can be utilized as bioherbicide is bamboo leaf litter. Problems arise if this alelopati also affect the pattern of germination cultivation plants because one of the main requirements of bioherbisida is not to affect the growth and development of crops. The purpose of this study was to determine whether leaf litter alelopathy would affect the germination of soybeans. The hypothesis this research is that bamboo leaf litter alelopathy will not affect the germination of soybean crops so it will be safe to use as a pre-plant bioherbicide. The treated treatment is without litter solution of bamboo leaf, and dosage of 5%, 10%, and 15% bamboo leaf litter solution. The design used was a complete non factorial randomized design with 5x replication. The conclusion of this research is the treatment of allelopathy given by application of bamboo leaf litter with various doses has no significant effect on the germination, sprout length, and germination time of soybean crop, so that bamboo leaf litter solution is safe to be used as bioherbicide on sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Rhinobatos typus is included in Elasmobranchii Subclasses which has a unique intestine structure on internal part forms folds called valvula intestinalis as extension surface of food absorption. The uniqueness is influenced by habitat differences and food types. Ray’s habitat is in all waters, one of them is in waters Wakatobi Island. The aims of this research to determine Rhinobatos typus anatomical structure variations of valvula intestinalis were decided by observing intestine internal folds variations. Microanatomy structures were performed by making histological preparations using paraffin method, NBF (netral buffer formalin) solution fixation with Hematoxilin-Eosin (HE) staining. The result of the research indicated microanatomis structures of Rhinobatos typus has valvula intestinalis in spiral-shaped. Microanatomic structures of both internals valvula intestinalis from outside to inside consists of mucosa, submucosa, and muscularis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of soil insect orders in the reclamation area of former limestone quarries in the top soil type, spoil and reject product used in the media for land reclamation processes. This research sampling technique uses a pitfall trap tool. This study used descriptive quantitative data analysis using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Simpson dominance index, Pielou species evenness index, and index of Morisista-Horn habitat similarity. Based on the research that has been done it can be concluded that the reclamation land in 2010 with the dominant type of dust has a low diversity category and a high dominance category with the discovery of 4 orders. The reclaimed land in 2014 with the dominant clay type soil has a moderate diversity category and a low dominance category with 7 orders found. Whereas the reclamation land in 2016 with the dominant type of sand has a low diversity category and a high dominance category with the discovery of 8 orders. The spread of species in all three locations was categorized evenly and between locations did not have the same community.
